The Adelaide Hills have an abundance of wineries leading to its world famous reputation as a wine producing region. Adelaide Hills produce the most elegant cool climate wines that showcase finesse and varietal intensity. Australia’s purest and most desirable Sauvignon Blanc lives in the region, along with crisp sparkling wines, complex Chardonnay, elegant Shiraz. The vineyards here tend to be small in size but the local winemakers have learnt to exploit the climate differences that the undulating landscape creates and, as a result, can certainly punch above its weight.
